Larry King Relegated to 'Access Hollywood Live' Reaction Shot Duty (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 14th 2011 5:10PM
Larry King on 'Access Hollywood Live'Larry King has been in radio and television for more than 50 years, 25 of them on CNN hosting 'Larry King Live.' To many, he is an icon. To 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC), he's the guy you cut away to during a clip of 'The Bachelorette' to see what his reaction might be. That was where King's career found itself Tuesday on 'Access,' a situation which he playfully poked fun at.

"I got up for this?" joked King. "What is this? My career has come to this. I'm a cutaway."

At least he's not fading quietly into the night. Later, King relayed a story about getting tossed out of one of his kid's Little League games for arguing with the opposing manager. He was banished to the dugout, and chastised by his wife.

That incident happened two weeks before Tuesday's interview. Lest you feel we printed this in error, we'll say it again. Larry King, 77, has a kid in Little League. The man is living the dream.
