The Stars of 'Drop Dead Diva' Dish Love, Romance & Dream Guest Stars (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Jun 15th 2011 6:00AM
At the end of 'Drop Dead Diva' Season 2, an engaged Grayson was left badly beat up after an accident, and a distraught Jane was by his side, wondering if he really saw her as Deb or was just hallucinating before slipping into a coma.

Drama, right? The clever, quirky show doesn't keep things serious for too long though, returning with a big hospital song-and-dance number to 'Don't Leave Me This Way' in the premiere.

'Drop Dead Diva' Season 3 Premiere

That balance of heart-wrenching and laugh-inducing is exactly why fans can't wait for more. With Season 3 premiering (Sun., June 19, 9PM ET on Lifetime), AOL TV visited the show's set in Peachtree City, Georgia, to get the scoop on what's next.

Stars Brooke Elliott, Jackson Hurst, April Bowlby, Ben Feldman, Margaret Cho, Kate Levering and Josh Stamberg dished about this romantic season and where all of their relationships stand, including the tease that Jane and Grayson will end up in bed together.

"It's really happening," Hurst confirms. "That is not a dream sequence," Elliott chimes in. "That actually happens."

They also talked about guest stars. As if their impressive list of stars coming to play isn't enough (already set for this season: LeAnn Rimes, Wendy Williams, Mario Lopez, Tony Goldwyn, Jennifer Tilly, Clay Aiken, Lance Bass and recurring guest Paula Abdul, just to name a few), they all have a wish list of who they'd still love to come play 'Diva,' including Beyonce, Jack Nicholson, Carol Burnett, Bette Midler, Kate Winslet, Cher ...

"I mean, really, I could kind of go on and on and on," Elliott says with a laugh.

Here's hoping this delightful show will be around long enough to get that long list checked off.

So what do you say: Are you excited for more 'Drop Dead Diva'? And do you think Jane should tell Grayson? Sound off in the comments.

is it just me.. or is there anyone that thinks the story line is a little off? If Jane is Deb and Deb was seriously weight conscious.... wouldn't you think it would be truly natural (if this was a real life situation) that she would naturally try to lose some weight? No matter how wonderful a person she is... Grayson has never been attracted to heavy women and why would he be now? Wouldn't they work that in to the story at least so she was "overweight, but not AS heavy as she is"? She sure is pretty and they do a lot with clothes, hair and makeup... which shows "Deb". But even though I think it is great that the point is to accept people for who they are... not their weight, I think reaiistically... they should have her losing SOME weight. I wish the writers would look at this realistically. Are we suppose to believe because she is Jane... she CAN'T lose weight? That all heavy women have to stay that way? She rarely eats anything on the show... yet she is still very heavy. Does anyone else think about this? I want Jane and Grayson to find the love they had when she was Deb... but I find it hard to believe he would magically change to fall in love with a heavy gal. Some guys just would never, ever do that. (not that she can't be somewhat overweight.. the kind of overweight that a lot of people are... 20+ lbs overweight. She is easily 50 lbs or more overweight. It would be great to get the writers of the show... point of view on this.

She won't need to tell Grayson. Once he really gets to know her, he will love her just like he did Deb. She is, after all, the same person. Just in a different package.

love, love, love, this show, I was hooked after the first eposide, I can;t wait untill it comes back on again. As for Jane telling Grayson, I don't think she should, but I do want him to fall in love with Jane and then if he does maybe then she could tell him.
