'Cheers' Star George Wendt Goes Amish on 'Hot in Cleveland' (VIDEO)

Another star of sitcoms past, 'Cheers' alum George Wendt, popped up for a quick drink on the return of 'Hot in Cleveland' (Wed., 10PM ET on TV Land).Playing an Amish version of his beloved 'Cheers' stool jockey, Norm, Wendt did what he does best -- he strolled over to the bar, tossed back a few drinks, and knocked a few one-liners out of the park.
The episode saw the 'HiC' gals searching for Elka (Betty White), who Victoria (Wendie Malick) found in the unlikeliest of places after a rough night in Ohio's Amish Country.
We love the way 'HiC' celebrates the cheesy conventions of '80s and early '90s sitcoms without coming across as too ironic or detached. At the very least, any show that dresses Betty White and George Wendt in Amish garb is good for a few laughs.
