'The Nanny' star Fran Drescher returned to TV comedy on the series premiere of 'Happily Divorced' (10:30PM ET on TV Land).

On the cable network's latest throwback, laughtrack-heavy sitcom, Drescher plays a woman who has been married to her devoted husband Peter (the awesome John Michael Higgins) for 18 years. The series kicks off when Peter drops a bombshell in bed: He's gay!

"But we just had sex during Leno! How gay can you be?" Drescher's confused housewife asks.

And so it goes, Peter moves into the living room, and Fran struggles with re-entering the dating pool.

Helping bring the somewhat uninspired script to life is a stable of talented comedy actors, including 'Everybody Hates Chris' star Tichina Arnold, Rita Moreno and Robert Walden.
