Goldie Hawn Eyes Return to TV With 'Viagra Diaries,' 'The Big C' Partners With American Cancer Society and More

Goldie HawnGoldie Hawn is readying her return to TV in an unusually named project: HBO's 'Viagra Diaries.'

According to Deadline, Hawn has been tapped to star in the half-hour comedy from 'Sex and the City' creator Darren Star. Hawn and Star will executive produce the project based on the book by Barbara Rose Brooker.

The pilot follows a woman, played by Hawn, whose husband leaves her, making her single for the first time in 35 years.

This will be Hawn's first role since the 2002 film 'The Banger Sisters.' The Oscar winner got her start on TV with 'Good Morning, World' and 'Laugh-In.'

Stan Lee and the NHL are teaming up for a superhero hockey series. NBCU has invested in Guardian Media Entertainment, the partnership between Stan Lee and NHL Enterprises. NBCU will provide promotional support for Lee's The Guardian Project, a superhero franchise that has 30 superheroes for each member of the NHL Club. [Deadline]

'America's Next Great Restaurant' lasted a month. Two out of three Soul Daddy locations have closed a month after Jamawn Woods won the NBC reality competition. [CNN]

Melissa McCarthy and Joshua Jackson will unveil the Emmy nominees. The nominees will be announced live on July 14. [Variety]

'Off the Map' star Caroline Dhavernas has joined the cast of USA Network's 'Over/Under' pilot. Dhavernas will play a professional photographer and wife to a day trader who loses his job. In other casting news, Bailee Madison has joined 'Powers.' [Deadline]

Showtime and 'The Big C' are partnering with the American Cancer Society for a new campaign. Showtime has launched "C Yourself," a "multi-platform campaign that encourages viewers to show their support for the series and the fight to eradicate cancer. For every photo uploaded on one of the campaign's sites, Showtime will contribute $5 to the American Cancer Society." The campaign call-to-action will live on Facebook. [Showtime]

'The Voice' coaches Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine have collaborated on a new Maroon 5 tune. The single, 'Moves Like Jagger' will feature vocals from Aguilera. [Entertainment Weekly]
