'Toddlers & Tiaras' Season Premiere: Eden vs. Makenzie Showdown Ends in Tears (VIDEO)

'Toddlers & Tiaras' S04/E01There was high drama, spectacle, heartbreak and at least one ear-splitting meltdown on last night's Season 4 Premiere of 'Toddlers & Tiaras' (Wed., 10PM ET on TLC).

The Eden vs. Makenzie rivalry finally came to a head when they both competed in a Texas beauty pageant for the truly magnificent title of "Ultimate Grand Supreme." Which one of them would go on to win the coveted title, which comes with $1,000 and a pink canopy bed?

Sadly for them, neither. Six-year old Eden came in second and was crowned "Universal Royalty," taking home a huge, glitzy trophy to add to her already jam-packed trophy cabinet. Ever the pro, little Eden smiled for the judges and audience, but once she came off-stage she just couldn't control her feelings.

Despite mom Mickie warning, "Please don't cry baby, you're on camera," Eden started wailing like, well, the disappointed little kid she is. Even after her mom pointed out that she was taking home a giant, winged trophy when lots of girls -- including arch-rival Makenzie -- were going home with nothing, Eden just couldn't stop crying.

Eden's been entering pageants since she was 14 or 15 months old and now it may be time for the seasoned veteran to retire from the 'Toddlers & Tiaras' circuit. So, what are her mom's hopes for the future?

Music and drama teacher Mickie says she longs for the day when an agent calls her up on the phone "and says, 'We'd like to sign Eden up for a $2 million deal.' Bye bye teacher's job! Hello Hollywood!"

We feel sure that if Eden's post-pageant career does take off, there will be plenty of cameras on-hand to record it.

you people are truly idiots. yes you are 100% correct on Edens mother, she is a wack , but you have no clue at all what goes on at pageants other than what you watch on TV. You have all become so obsessed with reality TV that you believe everything you see is exactly how it happens. Have any of you ever been to a cheer or dance competition? Watch those kids and then say pageant moms are worse! Those mothers put more make up on their kids then we would EVER think of and the moves are far more provocative then any of our girls do. The only reason you attack us is because its on TV where you get the wanna bes who just want their 15 minutes of fame. You are not seeing the true reality of pageants where the kids play in the pool together or go to dinner all together and do sleepovers. You dont see them running around playing like normal kids. Pageants are a hobby not our lives.

The child is making a spectacle of HERSELF by reacting in a childlike way by crying??? Who set her up for disappointment when she didn't win the big trophy? Crying is the only normal 6 yr old thing this poor bewigged, garishly made up and costumed little girl did.

I firmly believe involving chldren to this degree in beauty shows is fully child abuse on every level! These parents don't deserve to have children.

These moms are not giving these children a chance to be a child and it is sad when a parent lives through what they put the child through. I have never watched the program and don't plan on it just because the parents are damaging these children. Just like Kate plus 8 and the Duggers with the 20 kids these women are brood hogs and their claim to face it all the kids they had and the mothers in the beauty contest are destroying their daughters childhood just my opinion

Adding This mother is a pimp but it's the producers of this show and others like it who are the real pimps. exploiting little girls turning them into sex objects, one might think these producers are closet pedophiles and this is how they get off ..
