Jake Gyllenhaal & Bear Grylls Trek Through Iceland on 'Man Vs. Wild,' Denis Leary Plans Paramedic Show and More

Jake Gyllenhaal, Bear Grylls, Man Vs. WildJake Gyllenhaal is getting in touch with his wild side.

On July 11, the Oscar nominee will appear alongside Bear Grylls on the Discovery Channel series 'Man Vs. Wild' with Bear Grylls.

Gyllenhaal and Grylls will trek through the Icelandic landscape -- through mountains, glaciers and volcanoes -- with the actor forced to shadow the host as they endure rough weather conditions. Their adventure will kick off six all-new episodes of the series.

In other TV news ...

After the success of Denis Leary's firefighter series, 'Rescue Me,' on FX, USA is partnering with the actor/writer/producer on a show about paramedics. In this case, however, the series in question is an American adaptation of the British comedy 'Sirens.' [Deadline]

Keith Olbermann's new CurrentTV show begins tonight, and he announced on Twitter his first guests. Left-wing documentarian Michael Moore and Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas will appear on the show tonight. [TV Guide]

'Teen Mom' star Amber Portwood was released from the hospital over the weekend. The reality star had allegedly attempted suicide in her Indiana home. [THR]

Spike TV's 'Auction Hunters' will return for a third season. The network announced today that it is renewing the reality series for another 26 episodes, with a live episode planned. [Deadline]

Olbermann is an idiot, as are his guests. Nothing but a bunch of pathetic losers who think they know how everyone should live. They should go to Cuba and never return.
