Jason Bateman and David Letterman are on opposite ends of the Justin Bieber spectrum when it comes to their young kids, though they're on opposite ends of the gender spectrum as well. Bateman talked on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) about how his four-year old daughter is obsessed with the singer.

Meanwhile, David Letterman said he doesn't even think his seven-year old son knows who Justin Bieber is. "Now, have I done something wrong or have I done something right?" he asked Bateman.

After hearing Bateman's stories about how his daughter is "singing about these heartbreaking relationships and passionate bonds at the top of her lungs to a phantom person that's sitting next to her," we're not so sure.

Of course, Bateman's daughter probably doesn't fully understand what she's singing, but she understood enough to believe that the boy she kissed may turn around and break her heart. Actually, that's a truth about life so maybe the Biebs is doing a public service for young people, preparing them for heartache later in life.
