Alas, we can't all have multiple sexy vampires fawning over us. Instead we'll all have to make due with watching the new season of 'True Blood' when it premieres on HBO at 9PM Sunday night. In the meantime, and in honor of the Bill-Sookie-Eric love triangle, I've compiled a list of the sexiest vampires to ever grace TV screens.

Eric Northman, 'True Blood'
Played by Alexander Skarsgard
Just look at him. The vampire sheriff lays down the vampire law -- and stands up to authority too. Plus, he's probably Swedish royalty. A sexy blonde viking vampire with noble blood and a mean streak? Hells yeah.

Damon and Stefan Salvatore, 'The Vampire Diaries'
Played by Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley
Trying to choose between brothers Damon and Stefan Salvatore is kind of like picking your favorite child. So instead, I'm just picking both! (This is a thinly veiled excuse to post pictures of attractive people on the internet, not 'Sophie's Choice.')

Angel, 'Angel'
Played by David Boreanaz
David Boreanaz did the "vampire with a soul" thing long before Paul Wesley brooded all over The CW. I really like that one episode where he was super hot and came to Buffy's rescue.

Pam, 'True Blood'
Played by Kristin Bauer
Okay fine, I'll put some ladies on this list too. Eric might have Louisiana's District 5 on lock, but badass bitch Pam does what she wants. Funny one-liners + no filter + penchant for leather = you do the math.

Spike, 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'

See how I got around having to choose between Angel and Spike? Cheating again. Deal with it. Let yourself be mesmerized by that bleached-blonde hair. If his fangs don't get you, those razor-sharp cheekbones will.

Mitchell, 'Being Human'
Played by Aidan Turner
Aidan Turner makes this list over Sam Witwer's version of the same character on 'Being Human''s American version simply because he has an Irish accent and the perfect scruff-to-hair-length ratio. Also he is going to be very famous in a few years after he stars in Peter Jackson's 'Hobbit' movie.

Katherine, 'The Vampire Diaries'
Played by Nina Dobrev
Look, I've recapped 'TVD' for two years, so clearly my list is biased. But I still think Nina's nuanced portrayal of the evil-but-not-totally-evil vampire who turned the Salvatore brothers is deserving of an Emmy. She makes the list over Caroline only because Caroline seems more like a wholesome girl-next-door type than a sexy vamp.

Sheriff Hartwell, 'The X-Files'

I make the rules, and I say one-off guest spots totally count. That's why Wilson makes the list for his memorable role in 'Bad Blood,' an 'X-Files' episode that saw Mulder and Scully recall the same incident in very different ways.

Josef Kostan, 'Moonlight'
Played by Jason Dohring
Shouldn't all vampires, no matter how human-friendly, have a little evil streak in them? The mischievous, rich Josef was just so much more fun than the straight-laced Mick St. John, no matter how foxy Alex O'Loughlin is. Controversial choice, I know. But this is my list! And also I love 'Veronica Mars.'

Lenore, 'Supernatural'

Continuing in my quest to get as many 'Buffy' people on here as possible, how about the friendly vampire encountered by Sam and Dean during season 2, played by none other than Amber Benson (a.k.a. the late, lamented Tara)? Dark hair suits her.
