'Love Bites' (Thu., 10PM ET on NBC) continues to be a fun diversion for summer, like a fluffy romantic comedy where you know every beat of the plot, but it manages to pull you along regardless. With it's anthology format revolving around a core group of characters and plethora of guest stars, it's reminding us more and more of 'Love Boat' each week.

This time around, we got a strange little story set up in space where somehow Ken Jeong is allowed to be an astronaut. More expectedly, he provided a little bit of comic relief as well. Eddie McClintock ('Warehouse 13') was convinced his girlfriend was cheating on him, but he learned that her picture was cheating on him as well with Jeong's character in the bathroom.

Rounding out this intriguing bunch in space was Mr. Old Spice himself, Isaiah Mustafa. You couldn't see all those muscles in is space suit, but he and McClintock could see the Earth. And that's where Mustafa's character laid on the advice.

"Almost 7 billion people on that thing," he said of the Earth. "52% of them are women. And the chances that one of those women wants to have sex with an astronaut is pretty damned good. Which is great news for you, my man."

Are you still on board with 'Love Bites'? This type of television used to do great on television, but this one isn't lighting up the ratings. Maybe we've simply grown and changed as a society away from this kind of show -- though we still love our cheesy romantic comedies in the theaters.
