Jack White Helps Dress Stephen Colbert for His New Single (VIDEO)
For the past week, Stephen Colbert has been driving Jack White, formerly of The White Stripes, crazy on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central). It's all been leading up to the premiere of Colbert's sequel to his 2006 song 'Charlene (I'm Right Behind You).'In the latest episode, Jack White took Colbert into the dressing room where they prep for the photo shoots that accompany the albums. White told Colbert that his suit wasn't going to work since he was working with The Black Belles.
"They're kind of gothy," White told him. "So I think you might need to go a little bit darker with your threads."
Colbert came out in the classic red togs that Jack White famously wore with The White Stripes. "Must be like looking in a sexy mirror," Colbert told him. "Makes you seem cool, right?"
Despite all of Colbert's efforts to convince White to let him wear the outfit, he was ultimately forced out of it. White almost got through the bit without breaking his composure, but you could see his face crack into a smile a few times as Colbert was getting completely ridiculous.
