Colbert Agrees With Ted Nugent, Millennials are 'Stoned on Apathy' (VIDEO)

Ted Nugent, 'The Colbert Report'Ted Nugent describes the Millennial Generation (or Generation Y) as apathetic "while their future crumbles" and "government steals their fortune and lives." Strong words, which Nugent put in the title of his recent editorial for 'The Washington Times,' as detailed on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central).

"Nugent knows the thing that's gonna jolt our youth awake is the newspaper industry," Stephen Colbert said. Later in the show, he even brought out a member of this generation to get their reaction, but the young lady didn't seem to know who Ted Nugent was ...

Colbert took particular delight in a phrase Nugent used in his article. He described today's youth as "terminally stoned on apathy."

"Yes, apathy, which is a gateway drug," Colbert explained. "It starts with apathy, it eventually leads to crystal meh." It all sounds very serious, but unfortunately the generation it's affecting seems unlikely to want to bother doing anything about it, according to Nugent.
