'The Voice' Final Performance Show: What You Didn't See On TV
I was lucky enough to be in the audience this week for the final performance show before the winner is crowned in the first season finale (Wed., June 29, 8PM ET on NBC). Did you watch? Unbelievable, right?

There was plenty of excitement in the crowd for the final four performing original songs for the first time, and doing duets with their coaches -- not to mention the coaches' 'Under Pressure,' that booty-shaking Pitbull and Ne-Yo performance and Blake Shelton jumping up to sing alongside country star Brad Paisley (all after the jump).
But what happened on the live show when the cameras weren't on? Here, the six things you didn't see on TV -- also known as six more reasons 'The Voice' is real, raw and worthy of my adoration.
1. Who's the Boss?
Executive producer extraordinaire Mark Burnett was on hand, and very hands on. Before the show started, Burnett was giving host Carson Daly some last-minute notes. He also stepped over to the coaches chairs at one point in the night, talking to Christina Aguilera (who was pretty preoccupied with her phone) right before Beverly McLellan's solo performance. Blake Shelton showed Burnett much more love, giving him a big kiss on the cheek. Though Blake also kissed Carson on the mouth minutes before ... guess he's just an affectionate guy.
2. Looking Good
The coaches all get the primping treatment during commercial breaks from their own personal glam squad, but as the audience warm-up guy noted, only Cee Lo Green has a dedicated head wiper. "Oh, she's great -- she's getting a raise after this," the over-the-top coach laughed. Blake was taking a phone call while getting a touch-up, Adam was pretty low maintenance and Christina chose to get freshened up off stage almost every break.
3. What Is This?
I laughed out loud when I saw normally buttoned-up host Carson Daly doing exactly what I do: singing along with the show's aggressive theme song, "This is 'The Voice'!" He went from hamming it up with that to being 100% focused on live TV in a split-second.
4. A Star-Studded Show
Besides the star-power on stage, there were some famous faces in the crowd. We all saw 'American Idol' alum Katharine McPhee stand up and promote her new NBC midseason show 'Smash,' but you probably didn't catch 'Parenthood' stars Sarah Ramos (Haddie Braverman) and Miles Heizer (Drew Holt) sitting in the row in front of me. They seemed to especially enjoy Adam Levine and Javier Colon's performance of Michael Jackson's 'Man in the Mirror.'
5. Newsflash!
The audience warm-up guy has obviously not been keeping up with entertainment news lately. He asked Cee Lo about his concert tonight, noting how busy the coach is juggling Rihanna's tour and the show, but Cee Lo had to inform him otherwise: "I had to cancel my show with Rihanna tonight due to some circumstances." Awkward!
6. Blake's Got His Eyes on the Prize
When someone noted that Blake's wife, country star Miranda Lambert, will be performing on the finale episode, Blake smiled and said, "My wife is performing tomorrow ... but more importantly, Dia Frampton is performing tonight!" It's sweet to see that the coaches and contestants have genuinely bonded in such a short time.
