Tom Hanks Crashes David Letterman's Interview With Julia Roberts (VIDEO)

Julia Robets & Tom Hanks, 'Late Show with David Letterman'However Julia Roberts thought her appearance on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) might go, it all went completely out the window when Tom Hanks ran onto the set asking if he could play.

He joined David Letterman on a trivia-based question for Roberts. Letterman asked her questions about Hanks, and Hanks had the answers already written down on sheets in his lap. Except, even this didn't go as Roberts might have expected.

"How many children does Tom have?" Letterman asked. Julia's answer: "Four, as far as he knows." Tom's answer: "Honestly, no idea. Actually, she got that one the closest."

"Is any of this really going to get people to go see our movie?" she asked between peals of laughter.

"Nobody does this show to get people to see their movie," Hanks quipped.

It was certainly a fun bit, and made even more fun by Roberts clearly not being in on the gag as it went along. After all, it was her big smile and laugh that first made her famous way back in 'Pretty Woman,' so why not see both beautifully and naturally on display again?

Kind of makes you want to go see 'Larry Crowne,' doesn't it? Oh, that's the movie she was promoting. Didn't you get that? It stars the actor Tom Hanks thinks is the finest of his generation!

Tom Hanks is a very good actor, but he's not a handsome man at all. Julie Roberts has just become super homely as she aged. Her whole face is homely.

Julia Roberts looked very pretty in the movie, "Pretty Woman", but the older she becomes the uglier she becomes. That face is nothing pretty at all.
