Jason Sudeikis Joins 'Eastbound & Down,' 'Off The Map' Actress Gets New Gig and More Casting News

Jason Sudeikis'Saturday Night Live' star Jason Sudeikis has joined the cast of HBO's 'Eastbound & Down.'

According to Variety, Sudeikis, who is starring in this summer's buzz-worthy comedy flick 'Horrible Bosses,' will play Shane, a new friend to Kenny Powers.

No other details have been revealed, except that his role will be recurring.

At the end of Season 2, Kenny Powers was seen heading back to North Carolina.

Sudeikis recently hosted the MTV Movie Awards and his voice can also be heard on 'The Cleveland Show.'

In other casting news ...

'Off the Map' actress Rachelle Lefevre is going to play doctor on 'A Gifted Man.' Lefevre will play Kate, a doctor at a family clinic. The CBS drama also stars Julie Benz and Patrick Wilson. [Entertainment Weekly]

Kristen Bell is getting some loving on 'House of Lies.' Nick Stahl and Michael Rady have joined the cast as love interests for Bell's Jeannie on the new Showtime series. Look for Rady to recur and Stahl to guest star. [TVLine]

'Lost' actor Marc Menard is heading to the Upper East Side. Menard will play Father Cavalia, a priest with ties to Blair's fiance, on 'Gossip Girl.' [TVLine]

Chris Matthews hasn't booked a role on Aaron Sorkin's cable news drama. Sorkin reportedly did research for 'More As The Story Develops' by visiting Matthews's show, but MSNBC has scrapped plans to have Matthews appear on the HBO drama. [Vulture]

Am I the only who held out for Carnivale hope? And I see Nick Stahl guest starring and it makes me happy and very sad.
