HGTV's 'Design Star' Giveaway: Win a $100 Amex Gift Card

'Design Star' is back for Season 6 (premieres Mon., July 11, 9PM ET on HGTV), with 12 talented designers vying for their own HGTV show.

We love the reality competition for the innovative designs, shopping meltdowns and the heated style debates, but we also adore the banter between judges Genevieve Gorder, Candice Olson and Vern Yip.

This season, they're adding a few new twists, with previous 'Design Star' winner and current host of 'Color Splash' David Bromstad acting as a mentor for the wannabe TV designers, and 'HGTV'd' host Tanika Ray doing host duty here as well.

But we've got a nice bonus for the show's fans as well: we're giving away a $100 American Express Gift Card to one lucky reader, courtesy of HGTV's 'Design Star.'

If I won the gift card, I would like to emulate one of the best rooms off of the Design Star 2011 season. They get to play, now it's my turn to play with design.

I am blessed!

I am excited to be able to watch another season of HGTV's selection of a new designer. I had watched David Bomstad when he begin in this very show.Going on to win and develop a show that I never miss., Color Splash. David has a talent to be able to bring the revel to expectations and beyond. This talent has been with him at the beginning of his career and keeps getting better.. Thanks for bringing so many talented persons to keep this season on the edge. I have been remodeling my homes for years.I have completed 7 and sold them. This last one I am making it for me to keep. I want to finish the basement to be a suite to rent out to supplement my retirement. I will use the $100.00 to purchase some of the needed material to complete it. . I have enjoyed Tanika Ray as host with HG TV. I play HGTV on facebook . Great fun. Looking forward to enjoying this season .

I live vicarously through all of the designers because I have no eye for design. Trust me, my partner does all the decorating. If it was up to me, the entire house would be white, off white, and egg shell. I like the clean look. He and the design stars show me that it can be done with color. I would use the $100 for some original artwork.

Because I learn so much by others mistakes! We all have these 'ideas' in our heads and sometimes they just don't pan out. It still doesn't mean you shouldn't try...love the show!! :)

i love the show and have been watching from the very beginning. i enjoy the fresh ideas each person brings to the show. it allows my own imagination to run free. if i won the amex card i would put it towards a new refrigerator.
