Fargo and Zane Take an Unexpected Trip Into Orbit on 'Eureka' Premiere (VIDEO)

'Eureka' - 'Liftoff'Syfy original programming came back in a major way with the premieres of three scripted series. Kicking off the night was the return of 'Eureka' (Mon., 8PM ET on Syfy), followed by the Season 3 premiere of 'Warehouse 13' and the series premiere of 'Alphas.'

And to make sure the geek inside all of us was immediately engrossed, 'Eureka' tapped into that astronaut fantasy everyone harbored when they were younger. Only, it wasn't all fun and games for Fargo and Zane when they accidentally launched themselves into orbit.

For one, the capsule they were in was very crowded. For another, Zane was still emotionally mixed up about what is, or isn't, going on with Jo. That left Fargo to be brilliant and save their lives ... which he actually did.

The episode featured all the zany madcap goofiness you expect from 'Eureka,' from an A.I. house getting cold feet on the day of her wedding, to an android deputy, to the cast having to ride horses because all the electricity has been shut off.

In the end, of course, Sheriff Carter's intuition and the brilliance of the scientists saved everyone with no damage done. Well, except for that incidental scraping across the hull of the International Space Station. But who really noticed that?

Apparently, everyone did, which is why Fargo (as the head of G.D.) was called before a Senate subcommittee so we could all be happy to see Ming-Na on our screens again (who misses 'Stargate Universe'?).

We've seen government oversight on this show countless times, but we're still learning some differences in this Eureka 2.0 parallel universe we fell into at the beginning of this fourth season. Maybe things will be difference, and more than likely even more challenging for our intrepid cast. Just the way we like it.
