When we last left our intrepid agents, Myka had quit 'Warehouse 13' (Mon., 9PM ET on Syfy). That left an opening in their ranks. And while the crew continued working their peculiar cases, they stumbled on someone with a peculiar ability all his own.

Pete has his intuition, Myka her photographic memory and Claudia her tech genius (and supposed fate to be the next caretaker).

Steve Jinks is Dr. Cal Lightman ('Lie to Me'), only to a supernatural degree. In other words, he absolutely can tell unequivocally if someone is lying, which was a bit of a problem when Artie and Claudia ran into him while on a case.

As part of their super-secret work for Warehouse 13, they lie. A lot. They kind of have to, but none of the lies were working on Steve, so in a moment of frustration, Artie told him the truth, which was far more outlandish than any of the truths. And Steve believed him.

It was such a fun moment, and even though it was already obvious by this early stage of the episode that Steve would become the new agent, we still enjoyed seeing his recruitment. It's always fun when Mrs. Frederic shows up unexpectedly -- nay, almost magically -- in people's homes. In this premiere, we got to see it twice.

We also got to see Myka lured back in (was there really any doubt?) while Pete told Steve that the only way anyone leaves the Warehouse is feet-first. So that means we're looking at a team of three field agents now? That should help junior agent Claudia get some more field time.
