On the 'Tonight Show' last week, Kathie Lee Gifford demonstrated "The Wine Rack," a bra filled with wine you can drink through a tube. Thursday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC), Gifford and Hoda Kotb tried a more traditional booze delivery system -- the beer helmet -- in a taste test between Canadian and American beer. And while wine seems to make Gifford want to throw things, beer causes her to speak French and spill all over herself.

After spouting a few French phrases and declining to translate, she took off her helmet, but tipped it forward and spilled its contents all over her dress. When no one rushed in to help her, she joked, "Please, back off, people, I'm fine." Kotb couldn't help but add, "Back off, she wants to finish it."


In a curious admonishment after the incident, Gifford looked out into the crowd and said, "This is why you shouldn't drink." We think this is why you shouldn't drink on camera.
