'So You Think You Can Dance' Reveals Top 10 and Season 8 All-Stars (VIDEO)

'So You Think You Can Dance'While there was joy in the studio on 'So You Think You Can Dance' (Thu., 8PM ET on FOX) this evening, thanks to a record eight Emmy nominations for the show, it was still elimination night. But that didn't mean they couldn't spare a few moments of congratulations for the series' first nod in Best Reality Competition Series and Cat Deeley's well-deserved nomination for Best Reality Host.

Deeley then put that hosting right to business, working her way through the night, splitting the dancers in half, with three couples facing elimination and three couples moving directly into the Top 10 and the All-Stars next week. And, for the first time this season, the eliminated pair were not an existing couple.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Despite giving a solid performance this week, Nigel didn't feel Alexander impressed enough to stay in the competition in place of Ricky or Mitchell. On the women's side, it was Ryan who fell out of the competition, helping Sasha and Caitlynn into the Top 10.

Are you surprised by these results? Alexander seems a bit shocking, but we agree that Ryan just never quite reached that potential we started seeing in her last season.

'SYTYCD' also took the opportunity to welcome the return of All-Stars to the show, who will start pairing up with the Top 10 next week. If nothing else, it should force them all to up their game. It looks like they made an effort to ensure all seasons were represented as well. So who are they?

Yap, the best 10 dancers made it into the top.

I was wondering where is that amazing Alex Wong. Can't believe he injured himself again. Either he has to stop doing that dangerous dance or not doing it full out every time. Good wishes and hope he get well soon.

I'd like to see Sasha dance in its purest form and without the African influence Sasha is an incredile dancer but I want to her to be elegant and dancing a Viennese waltz!!! Of course every dancer has their own style and preference.

I thought that Ryans perforamances were wonderful. Including the one wher she came out of a picture frame in that little black dress. Lythgoe definitely favors some and not others. He had it in for Alexander and Rayn. I think he makes up his mind well in advance who is getting the kiss of death. Alexander was far better in all routines than Mitchell..However all are wonderful dancers.

Nothing much more than one more dumb girly show and second only to "American Idol," which never features jazz or classical instumentalists, as TV stupid show!

I guess you didn't watch Idol last year as there was jazz as well as one of the singers with a bass so please before you speak research a bit okay.

I thought Ryan was one of the strongest dancers, probably one of the best. It was just her performance -- at least she seems to have kicked that annoying smiling. And to me Ricky & Mitchell could be the same person. I thought Alexander was just as strong or better. Sasha is good, but I think Ryan is better dancer by far than Sasha. I just think that they like Sasha, personality better. But I do agree, that they are all so good, it is really super hard to choose. It's a crap shoot. They should let everyone go on tour. What's the big deal? Actually, I think they do. Saw last year in LA, and it seemed that there were more than the top 10 there.

Colored people always have to have their own music awards, beauty pageants, history month etc., etc., etc. Why dont they have their own "NEGRO SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE" show ?
