Craig Ferguson has slowly evolved a trio of options for when he's completed his interview with guests on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS) because he's never known how to gracefully close an interview.

So the guests now can choose between an awkward pause, playing a harmonica mouth organ, or they can touch his glitter ball. When Zooey Deschanel chose the harmonica, Ferguson revealed that if she was good she could earn a prize: The Golden Harmonica Mouth Organ!

We should have known something was up when Deschanel killed a lot of time saying she should have won one of those for her previous appearance on the show. "I actually played it quite well," she said.

She kept harping on about it until he finally stopped her. "Well maybe you didn't do as good a job as you thought you did." So he made her play, where she proved that she was perhaps all talk in the brilliant harmonica playing arena.

When he said it wasn't nearly good enough and she asked why, he caved. "You know, you're pretty damned cute," he said. "I'll probably give it to you anyway."

And so with a lavish production, and excited Deschanel received a Golden Harmonica she can play to her heart's content. And, oddly enough, she goes on the list. Doesn't Ferguson realize what he's done? Every cute actor and actress will be demanding one now! It'll be cutie chaos on 'The Late Late Show!' An adorable armageddon! Oh the humanity! The handsome, handsome humanity!
