Top 5 TVR Clips of the Week: Melissa McCarthy's Live Emmy Nom, Kathie Lee Throws a Wine Bottle & More! (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Jul 16th 2011 12:30PM

It was a wild week on the TV landscape. Vincent Pastore and Danielle Staub yelled at each other like 'Desperate Housewives.' Kathie Lee threw a wine bottle at a 'Today Show' crew-member. Melissa McCarthy found out about her first ever Emmy nomination on live TV. Bristol Palin kept talking about losing her virginity to Levi Johnston -- and thank god Don Rickles was there this time to provide color commentary. Jesse Tyler Ferguson proved that he might have a future as a reality show judge.

Onto the clips! As usual, watch them after the jump and vote for your favorite.

After watching a few minutes of VH1's 'Famous Food,' it became pretty clear that Vincent Pastore and Danielle Staub don't know much about putting together a restaurant. But they do know how to put together a reality show! The two are off to a great start antagonizing and screaming at each other, and we couldn't help but crack up when Pastore kept telling Staub "this isn't 'Desperate Housewives.'"

Kathie Lee Gifford was on a bender this week, spilling her beer helmet, and, as you're watching here, throwing a bottle of wine at a crew member. Now, the wine was in a padded bag, but when the 'Today' staffer missed the catch, it hit him square in the chest and left a sizable mark. To make amends -- and compound the sloppiness -- Kathie Lee lifted his shift and kissed his boo-boo.

From the embarrassing onto the adorable. 'Mike & Molly' star Melissa McCarthy found out about her first career Emmy nomination on live TV, as she just so happened to be co-announcing the nominees. After Joshua Jackson read the Best Actress in a Comedy nominees, McCarthy got adorably flustered, giggling, yelling "Yikes!" and exhaling to regain her composure. It was a great live TV moment to cap off a pretty great year in McCarthy's career.

Bristol Palin made last week's Top 5 after an excruciatingly awkward interview with Barbara Walters about her sex life. This week, she makes it again. Yep, she's still talking about losing her virginity to Levi Johnston, but this time with the benefit of some hilarious commentary provided by comedy legend Don Rickles. These two need to take this act on the road!

'Modern Family''s Jesse Tyler Ferguson was a guest judge on 'So You Think You Can Dance' this week, and he pretty much stole the show. After Clarice and Jess performed a lyrical dance routine, Ferguson hit them with a bevy of endearing one-liners, like "I didn't care for it ... Happy Opposite Day I loved it!" He then suggested he and Clarice get married, despite the fact that they both have boyfriends.
