Matheus broke down after performing in a pair of challenging duets on this week's episode of 'The Glee Project' (Sun., 9PM on OXY).

Things came to a head after the video performances, with little Matheus crying over all the drama with Alex.

"Don't freaking blame this on me, OK," a teary-eyed Matheus pleaded with Alex, the contestant everyone thought was marked for elimination at the end of the episode.

But the show ended with a surprise, as 'Glee' co-creator Ryan Murphy and crew elected to eliminate Matheus instead.

Cameron and Alex wound up in the bottom, but it was Matheus who was shown the door. Even a solid performance of 'These Boots Are Made for Walking' couldn't save the kid. Alex might be a diva, but he's still in the game to become a cast member on the next season of 'Glee.'
