'The Walking Dead' Season 2: First Look at Rick in Action (VIDEO)

The Walking DeadLast night may have been all about the return of Walter White and 'Breaking Bad,' but fans paying extra attention got another treat: the first footage from the second season of 'The Walking Dead'.

In the 1-minute clip, our favorite zombie-killing police officer, Rick Grimes, takes on not one, but two zombies with a rock. Yes, just a rock.

You can watch the very sweaty battle after the jump.

Based on the popular comic book by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard, the first season of 'The Walking Dead' was a huge hit for AMC. Starring Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies and Laurie Holden, the first season premiere was watched by more than 5 million viewers, a record for AMC. The Season 1 finale posted higher numbers, with 6 million viewers.

Season 2 of the zombie drama will see Rick, Lori and the gang find a working farm. Lauren Cohan and actor Scott Wilson will play Maggie and Herschel, tenants of the farm.

'The Walking Dead' returns to AMC this October.

What an awesome example of what the show is about. The desperation and regret in Rick's eyes is so heavily evident and yet, the determination and predatory self-preservation is the necessary evil that overcomes his humanity. Reminds me of how man's morality and ideals are easily trodden upon by time and nature (or in this case, disease), and how such a cataclysmic event can re-order our priorities. I cannot wait for Season 2.

What a horrible example of what the show is about. If I was somebody who never saw the show I would never watch it. They had a great opportunity to pull in some Breaking Bad people and all they show is rick hit two zombies over the head with rocks. It's just what the doubters imagine the show is when I tell them it is this great show with excellent writing, acting and character development.
