Rico Rodriguez Looks Forward To Season Three of 'Modern Family' (VIDEO)

On 'Modern Family,' Rico Rodriguez plays the smart, sensitive, sometimes even too insightful kid Manny Delgado. Tuesday on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC), we learned the real Rodriguez is fairly smart and grounded, too. He loves playing Manny, whom he based on Antonio Banderas."He can get any girl he wants, but Manny can't," said Rodriguez of the Banderas connection, "but he has that mindset that he can. He's just trying to be that suave guy." And who wouldn't want to see Manny as Zorro?
'Modern Family' got picked up for a third season in January, and seems like it's going to be a staple on ABC's schedule for a while. Billy Bush asked Rodriguez if he's prepared to be on the show when he's shaving and driving. Rodriguez stopped him. "You're going a little too far right there," he said. "Let's just take a third season." He's smart enough to know that on TV, you can't count on longevity.
