John Goodman on 'The View'John Goodman covered a good portion of his career, past, present, and future in his interview on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) Wednesday. He talked about his current role on 'Damages,' whether Roseanne Barr would make a good president, 'The Big Lebowski,' and a 'Monsters, Inc.' sequel.

Sherri Shepherd said 'Damages' creators wanted him for the role of Howard T. Erickson, CEO of a military contractor, because he was both "cuddly" and "fierce." She asked if he agreed with that assessment, and Goodman laughed. "Like one of those imported Chinese pandas stuffed with cotton and auto parts and drain cleaner," he said.

Joy Behar asked if Goodman thought Barr would make a good president, adding that she, unlike Michele Bachmann, does not suffer from migraines. "No, she gives them," Goodman joked. He said most people on the street recognize him from 'The Big Lebowski,' but Elisabeth Hasselbeck said her kids favorite was 'Monsters, Inc.' Goodman said work will start on that sequel in a couple of weeks.
