What's that, comic book fans? You were expecting a little more from that Ryan Reynolds-helmed 'Green Lantern' movie? Perhaps a little animation might do the trick.

Warner Bros. Animation is bringing the Green Lantern to TV in an all-new CG animated action series for Cartoon Network, 'Green Lantern: The Animated Series,' coming in 2012. Yes, we know that's a very long time to wait to see Hal Jordan, Kilowog, Salaak and crew fighting off Red Lantern Corps invasions on the Guardian Frontier. That's why we've got an exclusive sneak peek, featuring those fan-favorite characters and more, just for you.

Before the sizzle reel for this latest incarnation of the DC Comics superhero is unveiled at Comic-Con on Friday, check out a preview of it right here.

The series, produced by Bruce Timm, features the voices of Michael Clarke Duncan, Richard Green, Robert Englund and Josh Keaton as Hal Jordan. In this preview, our fearless hero, Hal Jordan of Earth, the Green Lantern of Sector 2814, gets called to Oa to get a little wrist-slap. Guess punching and head-butting isn't Lantern-like behavior. Ah, there really is no place like Oa ...

What do you think? Excited to see more?

Looks fantastic, but the dialogue just doesn't feel right. Maybe I'll like it better in context.
