Steve Carell Comes Back for Some Abuse From 'Papa Bear' Jon Stewart (VIDEO)

Steve Carell on 'The Daily Show'Steve Carell's rise to superstardom really kicked off when he was a correspondent on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central) from 1999-2005. From there, of course, he moved on to 'The Office,' where he reigned supreme until he left the show this past season.

As expected, Carell's talk with Jon Stewart was one of the funniest interviews we've seen on the show in a while. We loved Stewart trying to make Carell feel better after the cancellation of his show.

"Well, the show didn't get canceled," Carell told him. "The show continues."

"Oh God, so this is like a Charlie Sheen thing," Stewart replied. "Now, does Ashton Kutcher also take your role then?"

It was a lot of fun seeing two masters of the comedic art come at one another, because no matter how ridiculous the volley, the other was ready with a great comeback.

The most exciting thing about it was that Stewart suggested the fun idea of having a reunion of all the correspondents that have come through 'The Daily Show' machine and gone on to great success in Hollywood. Steve Carell said he's down for it, so that's one. We're off to a great start!
