James Franco Returning to 'General Hospital'
James Franco is returning to 'General Hospital,' news that leaves us wondering if this man ever sleeps.According to TV Guide Magazine, Franco's upcoming arc is "longterm." The Oscar nominee returns Sept. 20 and could stick around for much of the fall. Along with 'General Hospital,' Franco is heading to Broadway opposite Nicole Kidman to star in a revival of 'Sweet Bird of Youth.'
Franco's character, the serial killer and performance artist Franco, will return to town just as Jason gets ready to marry Sam. An ABC representative told TV Guide that Franco's plan is twisted. Look for him to pull in Maxie Jones and Carly Jacks into his murderous plans.
The '127 Hours' actor has been playing Franco since November 2009.
Franco's return to 'GH' comes just as 'All My Children' wraps up on ABC. 'AMC' and 'One Life to Live' are heading online via a new deal between ABC and Prospect Park.
'GH' is still set to air on ABC, despite the announcement of Katie Couric's new daytime syndicated talk show.
