Mary J. Blige Casts Deciding Vote in a Shopping Argument on 'The Marriage Ref' (VIDEO)

It was a little unfair for Michael when he and his wife, Dora, were participants on 'The Marriage Ref' (Sun., 10PM ET on NBC). Their problem boiled down to a classic difference between the sexes, which mean the panel was more than likely going to vote down gender lines. With Lauren Graham, Colin Quinn and Mary J. Blige sitting on the stage, Michael was outnumbered, and he knew it.
The issue was one of shopping. Michael hated it and didn't want to do it, but Dora wanted him to come with her and be supportive of how she liked to shop. Quinn backed Michael, though he took it further than even Michael probably was intending.
"Why don't you ladies just buckle down, just do it for us," Quinn said of shopping. "Just bring us our clothes."
When host Tom Papa threw it to the women, they both talked about how nice it was to have their man be willing to take the time to go shopping, even if it's not his thing.
"We're different creatures," Blige said of men and women. "They go in, they get what they need. We stick around. We look, we feel it out, because we're women."
Inevitably, both women sided with Dora, and Michael had to go home knowing that he was wrong. We can't help but think had their been two men and one woman on the panel, this decision would likely have gone the other way.
