Constant Fighting Leads to a Shocking Elimination on 'Hell's Kitchen' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 26th 2011 12:58AM
'Hell's Kitchen'Gordon Ramsay isn't about making people happy and giving them what they want. And that's exactly what happened in the surprising elimination on this week's 'Hell's Kitchen' (Tue., 8PM ET on FOX).

First, after the red team decided -- and she volunteered -- to send Carrie over to the men's team since she and Elise simply cannot get along, Ramsay came along with an idea of his own. Natalie should join the men instead, and the rest of the women had to get over it and make it work.

Natalie came through as a leader for the blue team during the opening challenge, while the women wouldn't let Carrie take over, despite her repeated efforts. Even after their loss, they continue to pile on while they cleaned up and the blue team went off to relax.

The red team fighting continued in the kitchen the next day, delaying them more and more. Carrie and Jennifer had trouble with the entrees, and Amanda eventually shut down completely. These three wound up in the bottom three, where Jennifer and Amanda promptly tried to convince Ramsay that Carrie should go.

Carrie owned up to her failure in the kitchen, which may have been why Ramsay stood by her. She wasn't trying to blame anyone else for what went wrong. So he stunned everyone when he eliminated Amanda, who said she was embarrassed and disappointed with herself.

But no one was more upset than Elise, who looked ready to literally throw Carrie under a bus. Their drama continues next week, when we're promised another shocking elimination.

Elise is a wretched beast. She's got to go! She's almost as childish as every single guy on the show.

please understand that this man would not last 1 day in a five star hotel as a chef,. you cannot talk or treat people in this manner and if it was not for a bunch silly ass mean spirted crap that people tune into he would be a washed up out of work breakfast cook at best.

Ramsey is not doing this to be nicey nicey, kumba ya or a feel good moment. He has to apply pressure to find out if they can stand up to a high pressure job.If they can't take the heat then they need to get out of the kitchen.

Elise needs to go. She's a divisive, backstabbing witch with a HUGE unjustified ego.

Based on the premise that cooking a meal requires the same amount of skill as does performing complicated neuro-oncological surgery, Ramsay continues creating enough drama to keep his series afloat, as we continue to yawn more frequently each episode.

I have to hand it to whomever presides over HK's preliminary selection process for having the particular genius for spotting the most sorry conglomeration of supposedly professional chef contestants who are just the remotest tinge good enough to pull off the charade that they are worthy participants, yet who can be counted on, episode after episode, season after season, to show themselves virtually to a person, to be so consistently inept as to boggle the mind!
