Jon Favreau Explains Why He Doesn't Have a Cameo in 'Cowboys & Aliens' (VIDEO)

It's like a game of 'Where's Waldo?' when you go to see a Jon Favreau film. You know he's going to be in there somewhere. But, as he explained on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), he's not in his latest picture, 'Cowboys & Aliens.'There were a couple of factors that kept him out of it. "We wanted to create like a real Western," he explained. "If I'm running around there like a smacked a** ... everybody's going to be pointing me out."
Plus, he got a bit of a reality check that maybe it was bordering on self-parody when the fact that he has cameos in all of his films was joked about in a 'Star Wars' 'Family Guy' special. But he still got to appear in the film, or at least an Internet parody of it.
He struck a deal with the studio to allow him to appear as a featured guest on Freddie Wong's YouTube parody, 'Cowboys & FreddieW,' which debuted last week and has since gone straight to Number One. So now you can have your authentic Western, and your Favreau cameo, too.
