Tempers Flare as Ramona Attacks LuAnn's Parenting on 'Real Housewives NYC' Reunion (VIDEO)
Ramona made things personal, and seemed absolutely delighted by the visceral response she was getting, on 'The Real Housewives of New York City' (Thu., 10PM ET on Bravo) reunion special. The angrier LuAnn and Jill got, the more she smiled and shifted around in her seat.
It was Andy Cohen's fault for bringing it up, but Ramona's criticism of LuAnn's parenting skills was one of the more stand-out moments in the season. This question led to a lot of yelling back and forth, as Jill jumped to LuAnn's defense, and a lot of unanswered questions.
"Why has your daughter transferred [schools] four times in four years?" Ramona asked. The response: "What does that have to do with our relationship?"
"And why did your daughter leave your school?" Jill asked Ramona. The response: Ramona repeated the above question to LuAnn. She's not here to answer questions about her own daughter. They have a "system."
This system apparently explains how Ramona can say that she doesn't have problems with her daughter because "I'm home a lot," while at the same time her daughter says she's never home for dinner and doesn't tell her when she's coming home. That's some system!
In the end, Jill reached a breaking point. She was disgusted that the children were being brought into this at all. "I'm not talking about the children," she said, getting up and leaving the set to take a break.
We can't help but agree. It's one thing for these women to snap and judge one another -- hey, that's what the show is all about. But let's not try to pull the innocents in, by which we mean the children. Nothing gets a mother more on the defensive than pulling children in, which is of course why Ramona was so delighted to do it.
Didn't she look like she should be rubbing her hands in glee, or maybe a crystal ball while she was smirking as LuAnn and Jill got more and more upset?
