It Didn't Go So Well When Neil Patrick Harris Met President Obama (VIDEO)

Neil Patrick Harris, 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'Meeting someone with the stature of the President of the United States is one of those moments you kind of need to mentally prepare for. That could be why things were a little awkward when Neil Patrick Harris met Barack Obama recently, as he detailed on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC).

NPH was hosting an event "about LGBT stuff" for the DNC, and there was a line for photo ops with President Obama. Harris was moving through the room, getting ready to get back on stage and continue with his next part of the show when he was ushered around a curtain.

"You turn around a curtain and there's the freaking president of the United States," he said. "And you quickly panic because, what do you say?"

When the president said "hi," what Harris said "jokingly, like improv-y wise," was, "If you don't mind, sir, I'm kind of in the middle of something." The joke didn't seem to go over too well with the president, who Harris said looked confused and a bit taken aback.

maybe if you had these great big balls when GW was doing all this damage to our country things would not be in this condition. you supported a dislexic person to run this country because of the color of his skin.Blame no one but yourselves.racism and hatred destroys everyone in the end. reap what you sow.
