Mary McCormack Gives Awkward Advice to Her Daughter on 'Late Late Show' (VIDEO)

Mary McCormack managed to make an awkward pause on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS) even more awkward. More than that, it's something that may yet come back to haunt her when four-year old daughter Rose grows up a bit.

When you say "I wonder if I can say this" twice as a preface to a story you're considering laying on a nationally televised show, you may actually be trying to ask yourself "should I say this?"

McCormack's impromptu story was one of those "kids do the darndest things" moments with her daughter Rose that parents will often tell one another. We just wonder what the fallout might be if Rose grows up and hears about this interview or, worse yet, sees the footage.

"She was really little, but she was sort of researching her area," McCormack said, which is normal for a young child. Nothing too out of the ordinary. But then she sniffed her finger, at which point McCormack said she had to intervene.

As awkward as it was, and potentially embarrassing for young Rose, it does give McCormack some powerful leverage for when Rose starts dating. Imagine having footage of that story to hang over your daughter's head. Be home by ten or your date sees this!
