Power of Veto, Did One 'Big Brother' Houseguest Play Their Cards Too Soon? (VIDEO)

Things are heating up inside the 'Big Brother' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) house, and we're not talking about the weather. That seems to be temperature-controlled -- lucky! No, we're talking about some aggressive gameplay after Dominic and Adam were again put up for Eviction after the power couple of Brendon and Rachel again won the challenge. At this point, are these newbies even playing this game?
!!SPOILER ALERT!!
We want to call shenanigans on the Power of Veto competitions we've seen thus far. Until now Rachel and Jordan have had this power, and every time when they've gone to pick out the other couple to compete, they've drawn each other. Come on! How is that possible? Maybe it really is just crazy luck.
That's what happened again this week, as Jeff and Jordan joined the nominated couple and the HOH couple in the competition, which saw them having to spell long words with giant leg hairs. Would Jeff redeem his "technotronics/tectronics" snafu from Season 11?
He did indeed, but he didn't win the Power of Veto, and neither did Adam. Dominic had already decided to throw it, while Jordan was happy she chose a six-letter word instead of "farting," which would have been seven. Either way, though, she would have lost.
Rachel misspelled "moisturizing," and didn't cry about it (yay!), and Brendon got mad at Dominic for spelling a nine-letter word in an effort to throw the competition. But it didn't matter because Brendon spelled "understanding" and won.
Up to this episode, Daniele was sitting in a perfect spot for this game. Losing her dad so early in the game gave her a Golden Key and has allowed her to fly completely under the radar. There, she aligned with Dominic. But this week, she came onto the radar in her fevered attempts to ensure his victory, and pushed perhaps a bit too hard for Brendon and Rachel to use the POV to nominate Jeff and Jordan.
We know she was worried she'd lose her closest ally, but now she may well have sealed his doom. Could that pivotal meeting cost Daniele her game? We're not so sure, as she's still a pretty savvy player. What it did do, which is bad news for everyone, was bring the foursome of Jeff, Jordan, Brendon and Rachel together stronger.
The fractures in that alliance were the best thing that could have happened for everyone else in the game, but now they're united against a common enemy, painting a big bullseye on Daniele's back next.
Maybe the promised twist in the game next week will shake things up enough to change that. But first, we have to say goodbye to Dominic or Adam on Thursday. Who do you think's going home?
