Eric Must Kneel Before His King on 'True Blood' (VIDEO)

'True Blood' - 'I Wish I Was the Moon'With the full moon upon Bon Temps, Jason Stackhouse was terrified that this would be his first transformation into a panther, while Tara was facing the demons of her past being revealed to her New Orleans girlfriend.

Jesus' uncle knows more even than Jesus and Lafayette do about the danger they're facing, but it's Bill and Eric who stood at the center of this episode of 'True Blood' (Sun., 10PM ET on HBO).

After last week's cliffhanger where Pam revealed to Bill where Eric has been staying all this time, Bill felt completely betrayed by Sookie. To make matters worse, vampires are very fast and that Eric/Sookie makeout session had really only just gotten under way.

Luckily, Bill showed up before Sookie got completely naked, but he showed absolutely no mercy in requesting the true death for Eric. In fact, it was only Eric's newfound "humanity" that gave Bill pause before he passed sentence.

Eric who only wants Sookie to be happy, even if that is with Bill? This is not Eric the Viking that we've known all these years, and in fact we found out that this Eric rejects the Eric he was. He doesn't want to ever be that Eric again, much to Pam's chagrin.

But Eric's change was to her benefit as well, as he convinced Bill to not only spare and free him, but Pam as well. That latter news may not turn out as well for Tara and Naomi. Naomi had just proven herself to be a very big woman by accepting Tara's lies about her past, and the pair were on the precipice of a decision about what to do next when Pam showed up.

As Pam is one of the more ruthless vampires on the show, I'm pretty worried for Tara and Naomi right now. More Naomi, actually, as Tara's a principal character on the show, and the writers do like to keep her as miserable as possible. Naomi makes her happy. Tara has a love interest. That's usually someone that needs killing, apparently.

Speaking of couples in trouble, should we now be worried about Jessica and Hoyt? Those were some meaningful looks she shared with Jason Stackhouse there after he didn't transform into a were-panther. Does this mean he's not going to? Alcide seemed pretty sure on that point to Sookie. I was kind of looking forward to seeing how he dealt with it, and Jessica seemed like a nice guide.

I like the idea of these two being connected now by her blood. It was very gallant of her to rush to his rescue like she did, but does that mean they'll be drawn to one another like what happened between Eric and Sookie? Jason's already dreamed about her!

The other plotlines of the episode involved Tommy accidentally shapeshifting into Sam and then wreaking havoc both at Merlotte's and in Sam's love life. Every time this kid has a moment where I might start to like him, he goes and screws it up completely. This is the one character I would probably most like to see die of our primary crew.

I'm most curious right now about where we're going with Arlene's devil baby, now seeing visions and burning houses down. Surely, it's going somewhere. The same goes for Marnie. Either could be set up as the "big bad" for the season, though the now-possessed Marnie seems the most likely culprit.

What makes her a little more interesting is that she's an innocent at the center of all of this, being controlled by a vengeful spirit. Of course, the same could be said for the baby if it is indeed the evil spirit of the baby's father, or some demonic force in control.
