'Real Housewives' Zarin and Singer Spar Over Alcohol Accusations on 'Today' (VIDEO)

Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin spar on 'Today' with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda KotbThere was talk of excessive drinking on the fourth hour of 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC), and for once, it wasn't centered on Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' appeared on the show, each upset with the other for allegations of alcoholism, in what quickly turned into an uncomfortable segment.

"She keeps inferring that I have a drinking problem," said Singer of Zarin. "You girls like to have a drink now and then, so do I." She then lobbed the same charge right back at Zarin, saying she had heard Zarin was the one with a drinking problem. Zarin denied she did, but said it would be wrong for Singer to talk about it on TV even if it were true.

Somehow, that all turned into Singer on a soapbox about AA and victims of domestic abuse. This allowed Kotb and Gifford to be voices of reason. "You guys are talking like apples and oranges," said Kotb. "She's right, you shouldn't out someone who's going to AA and I'm glad you give to domestic abuse, but those are two separate things." Compared to Singer and Zarin, Gifford and Kotb look downright thoughtful.

Hello

I always love Hoda. And for once I can say I agree with BOTH she and Kathi Lee(which is rare for me as I cant stand her). But I am glad they professionally put the two HW busy bodies in their place. Singer and Zarin are both nuts. Singer more so as she never listens cant carry on real dialogue. It is always "about her" and wanting to always be right.

But they are making fools of themselves and laughing all the want to the bank. This is why they don't care.
