'Two and a Half Men' Premiere Details: A Parade of Stars and Ex-Girlfriends?

Two and a Half MenWhat's one way to drum up buzz for your show? Be super secret about your big changes. That's exactly what the producers of 'Two and a Half Men' are doing.

According to Deadline, production on the new season begins in early August and the behind-the-scenes powers are keeping details close to their chest. However, since it is Hollywood we're talking about, some secrets have slipped out.

Deadline reports a good number of Charlie Harper's (Charlie Sheen) ex-girlfriends will be in the premiere. Perhaps for a funeral? Early reports indicated Chuck Lorre was going to kill off Sheen's character so he could never return to the series.

The house owned by Sheen's character will be for sale, prompting big name celebrities -- including past and present Lorre stars -- will look at buying the home. Kutcher is rumored to be in that group and Deadline reports he could be playing himself.

Meanwhile, Sheen is working to get his new sitcom, 'Anger Management,' off the ground by finding it a network to call home. He'll also be the subject of a Comedy Central Roast, airing on Sept. 19, the same night as the 'Men' premiere.

When CBS announced Kutcher's involvement in the project in May, the former 'That 70s Show' star said he wasn't out to replace Sheen.

"I can't wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented '2.5' team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers' homes," Kutcher said in a statement. "I can't replace Charlie Sheen but I'm going to work my a** off to entertain the hell out of people!"

"We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton joining our family," Lorre said in a statement. "Added to that is the deep sigh of relief knowing that our family stays together. If I was any happier, it'd be illegal."

'Two and a Half Men' returns on Mon. Sept. 19 at 9PM on CBS.

I've watched one and half show of the new two and a half and don't plan on watching any more. That poor laugh track that repeats over an over no matter what's said is pathetic, Sheen had a live audience and didn't need the phoney laugh track. Charlie's mistake was calling "Chaim" by his real name instead of Chuck. They may have got away with it if they picked Paul Rudd or Johnny Knox, but Kutchner just isn't going to do it. At least we have the re runs to watch over and over.

Chuck Lorre confuses his power with Charlies' audience appeal. It was working Chuck. Bank your money and get your ego out of the way. Bring Charlie back. Even a 'bad dream' episode couldn't be worse than Ashton appearing out of Charlie's dust. btw - Ashton is a one trick pony. Sorry Ashton. Go bank you money. We want Charlie back.

Chuck - bottom line for you either = $ or your ego.

I have to watch the beginning of the end of Two And A Half Men, and testify to the down spiral of a show that was written and produced based on the life of a real individual that cared for the show and his co-workers. That was Charlie Sheen's real family. And even though he's a bad boy, (key element to the success of the show), this family worked hard at b ringing it all together. Then along came Chuck Lorre and killed the head of the family. And once the head of the family is gone...the rest of the family moves on. (Chuck Lorre must have forgotten why the show was a hit-but decided to killed it anyway.) Now who's the crazy one?

I love Ashton but there is no way that he can make that show be as good as Sheen. They are two different actor. Each actor has their own style. It was Sheen style that made that show what it is today. If the actor is taken away, it will never draw the fans it once had. The only thing to do is let that series go or try to mend the differences for business sake. So many people let little things keep them from making the right decision. The fans is what make the show give the fans what they want. Sheen all the way.....

No comment. Sheen has probably wiped himself out of show biz, whether he sees that or not. The show will continue to draw but the plot's getting stale. Thank goodness Mondaynight football isn't that far away...

I gave your comment a thumbs-down by accident; it should have been a thumbs-up.
