Massive 'Stark Trek' Collection for Sale on 'Pawn Stars' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 2nd 2011 6:19AM
'Pawn Stars'Hardcore 'Star Trek' fans had to be salivating at the collection that walked into the shop on 'Pawn Stars' (Mon., 10PM ET on History). The owner had a massive collection of figures of varying sizes, and many of them were signed by the stars of the various shows and movies.

Corey brought in an expert to appraise it after hearing the $14,000 opening offer from the seller. After the appraisal came in at $8-9,000, the negotiations began.

The owner tried playing on Corey's sympathy by telling him he has a wedding to pay for, but Corey wasn't playing that game. "It's not my issue, man," he said. "You can get married for 99 cents in the Prius right down the street."

Finally, they agreed on $6,100, which the owner said hurt a lot, but that can go a long way toward making sure most weddings are pretty special. If the fiance is too upset about it, he can always sign up to be on 'Bridezillas' next.

I would never sell my stuff fore all the world. I clicked on the link because I couldn't believe that someone would do that. I'm not just a collector, I am a lover. A memorialist. I memorialize things from Trek and Wars alike for memories of how great those two idealists, Lucas and Roddenberry, were able to create such greatness that we should commemorate them fore.

Just seen a deal and jumped on it thinking it would better mine and my childrens lives maybe. We need a bigger home and ithought this collection might get me started. I also have 80 gold plates from the Hamilton Star Trek collection. All in 24kt gold. 72 of the 80 plates is a collection u had to collect for 3 years. They put out 2 every month for three years and I have all of them 24 kt gold still in packaging with certifcate of authcent. I have doubles of alot of these items as well. Some of the collection numbers say I have like #2 of 150 put out and things semilar to that. COuld I might have found my diamond in the rough? It would be nice if I could get about 40,000. That would be enough to pay of my car my hospital loans and by a cute little house I have been looking at and buy 2 acres of land to put the 2 small trailors i own on it and rent it for some income. Think that would be a great way to spend it. It would make a desperatly needed miracle come true in my life. Expecially seeing that even if u have good credit in these times no one wants to give you a loan. Or I cant find no one and my credit is great. Please if you can help me find out what this collection is worth and maybe I can sell it and get a head for once. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Email to IStoleURStreak@yahoo.com its my spades name. Thank you!
