Does the Power of Veto Mess Up Daniele's Plans on 'Big Brother'? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 3rd 2011 11:54PM
'Big Brother 13'When Daniele nominated Rachel and Brendon for eviction this week on 'Big Brother' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS), her plan was to try to ensure one of them went home. Breaking up an established power couple that's been dominating in challenges and controlling the house since day one can't be a bad idea; especially when they'd outed her plan to backdoor Jeff and Jordan leaving her public enemy number one.

What she needed to do next was ensure that either she or one of her allies won Power of Veto so those nominations could stay the same. Unfortunately, that proved to be difficult and in a way confirmed that she was right to see the pair of them as huge threats in the game.

Brendon came up with the victory in the flashback challenge, recalling and replaying earlier challenges. But if Jeff and Jordan were paying attention, his strategy to mess with Daniele one last time may wind up hurting Rachel in the game.

His plan was to take her off the block and leave himself there. But he wanted to lie to everyone and say he was taking himself off, so that whatever plans Daniele had in place to replace him would be thrown for a wrinkle and she'd have to make a last-minute change.

Unfortunately for him, Daniele already had a contingency plan in place should Brendon leave himself on the block. She simply nominated Jordan as a likely pawn to hopefully ensure Brendon gets voted out. The only thing that might hurt Jordan is that she's already won this game, but she's not a real threat at this time and everyone likes her, so she should be okay.

So while Brendon thought he was awesome for throwing Daniele for a loop, what he instead did was lie to Jeff and Jordan's face about his intentions. If they decide to question this, Rachel's going to have to do some fast thinking to convince them to work with her.

At the same time, they're already talking about possibly backdooring Daniele next week, going against their own deal they made with her. Would putting Jordan up as a pawn constitute Daniele going back on the deal, if she'd talked to them about it in advance. The key was to not put up anyone against Brendon who might get more votes than him and Jordan may really be the only candidate for that.

Do you think Brendon will be eliminated this week? If so, what will Rachel do? Will she convince Jeff and Jordan to work with her and eliminate Daniele? Without Brendon to help her emotional breakdowns, will she lose her mind completely if she doesn't win HoH? And where will the other newbies fall in this veteran rift?

It would be great if the people who have as much concern for Big Brother and pay as much attention to it,would apply as much time and energy concerning the deplorable condition of the economic and moral conditon of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I've watched BB every year and was so glad to have the new season with new people,I thought. I didn't like Rachael and Brendon the first time and am so sick of them already this time! I'm ready to stop watching until they go.

I don't even think they can call this show "Big Brother" anymore! It should be called "The Brenchel" show! I'm so sick of seeing them fight, cry, kiss, makeup, get ooey-gooey with each other, and whine ALL the time that I could puke. I love BB but I swear if Brendon leaves tonight and then comes back I'm turning it off!!!

Glad to see Brandon is leaving. Him and Rachel think they are the best players of this game and it is just a game. But neither one of them have won this game so how can they say they are the best at the game. Go figure. I can't stand either one of them will be glad to get both of them crybayies out.

Don't you all realize this and all "reality" shows are scripted with retakes and all the normal production stuff. Dozens of staff are on hand to coach, direct to produce these idiotic shows.

Brendon made a mistake. He was a much stronger player than Rachel, who would be especially vulnerable without Brendon. Brendon will be voted out. Jordan is better liked than him.

I agree with you 100%, Seems mighty strange that Brendon gets voted off then all of a sudden he gets a chance, like it really is a chance, to come back. And Rachel is soooo ugly it is unbelievable. No comparision to Jordon. Usually BB has good looking gals each season but Rachel looks like she's been rode hard and put away wet. Last year someone on here ran a rap sheet in Vegas on her and she had several arrests for prostitution. Mighty strange CBS would allow someone like that on the show.
