Stephen Colbert Talks the Death and Replacement of Spider-Man (VIDEO)

Stephen Colbert is very upset about recent developments in the Ultimate Marvel Universe. He took to 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central) to talk about the death of Peter Parker and the new guy who's taking on the Spider-Man mantle."Peter Parker is killed, presumably while appearing in 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,'" Colbert quipped. But he was more than confused by the identity of the new Spider-Man, a half-black, half-Hispanic guy named Miles Morales.
"What sort of origin story does he have?" Colbert pondered. "Was he a black guy bitten by a radioactive Hispanic, or a Hispanic guy bitten by a radioactive black guy?"
The good news for Colbert is that while Peter Parker is dead, he's also still alive. The deceased one is from the Ultimate Marvel Universe, which is like the minor leagues. It's a whole different universe, that runs parallel to the regular Marvel Universe, but on a much smaller scale.
In the main Marvel Universe, Peter Parker is still slinging web as the Spider-Man Colbert is seen saving on the cover of 'The Amazing Spider-Man' #573. It turns out you can have your Peter Parker and your Miles Morales, too. Two Spider-Mans for the price of ... well, two.
