Gloria Steinem Discusses HBO Documentary, Says Feminist Movement Has Just Begun (VIDEO)

Gloria Steinem talks about her HBO special 'Gloria: In Her Own Words' on 'The Early Show'The new HBO documentary 'Gloria: In Her Own Words' premieres Monday, and looks at Gloria Steinem's life and career as a feminist and co-founder of 'Ms. Magazine.' Steinem spoke about the work she's done over the decades fighting for abortion rights and against domestic violence, and said there is still much work left to do on 'The Early Show' (weekdays, 7AM on CBS).

A clip showed Steinem speaking about her goals as a feminist, "You understand it's not a role exchange," she said. "We're not trying to do to men what men have done to us. We're trying to humanize both worlds."

Steinem doesn't view the documentary as a retrospective or career wrap-up as much as a benchmark for progress. "I wanted to show how far we've come in 30 or 40 years," she said, "so people can think, okay, where do we want to be in 30 or 40 years? Because this movement has just begun."

liberal activists always say stuff like, "...there's much work left to be done." it gives people like this justification for the money and publicity they earn.

I hope on the documentary, they talk about how she was a playboy bunny, and not working undercover which she only added later in life, and why she waited until she was 69 to marry a man and why she condemned Clarence Thomas when he was accused of sexual harassment and why she supported Bill Clinton when numerous women came forward to accuse him of sexual harassment, or her involvement in the Democratic Socialists of America or why she could get away with mentioning Hitler and Jews in many news conferences and no one else can.

I'd like to see an honest documentary.
