TBS Cancels 'Lopez Tonight'

George LopezTBS has pulled the plug on George Lopez's late night talk show, 'Lopez Tonight.'

"TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of 'Lopez Tonight.' Thursday will be the final episode of the show," the network said in a statement.

"We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer," TBS said. "TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air."

'Lopez Tonight' premiered in November 2009 to 1.7 million viewers on TBS. When Conan O'Brien joined TBS, his series pushed 'Lopez' from 11PM to midnight. 'Lopez Tonight' has been averaging about 400,000 viewers.

During its second week, 'Lopez Tonight' was watched by an average of 1.3 million viewers. Its numbers in the coveted 18-34 and 18-49 demographics bested then-season averages of popular shows 'The Colbert Report,' 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,' 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,' 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' and 'Last Call with Carson Daly.'

I think they meant to say Conan's show is going to be cancelled. If not, they should have. Worse show on late night tv. I'd rather watch paint dry than Conan's show; I don't know one person who likes his show.

He sucks, but so does Conan. TBS should re-think both bad investments. But again, this is the network that has been showing re-runs of Saved By The Bell since God knows when.

Thank God! He's always acted like he was on some "happy drugs" and not a normal individual. That sends a huge message to younger people like "hey, how can I feel and act/feel so good like him". Bad business............plus he relied so heavily on script/monitors...just downright a strange guy.
