'Glee' Adds 'American Dreams' Actress, 'Battlestar Galactica' Vet Books 'CSI: Miami' Role & More Casting News

Vanessa LengiesThe student body of McKinley High School keeps on growing. 'American Dreams' actress Vanessa Lengies has booked a recurring role on 'Glee.'

According to TVLine, Lengies will play Sugar, a new student who can't carry a tune. Lengies joins 'Friday Night Lights' and 'Cougar Town' actor LaMarcus Tinker as new recurring players on the hit Fox show. Tinker will play the new love interest for Amber Riley's Mercedes character.

Lengies currently plays Kelly Epson on TNT's 'HawthoRNe.'

In other casting news ...

'True Blood' and 'Dexter' actress Courtney Ford is stopping by 'CSI: NY.' Ford will play Nicole, a car thief. She'll appear in the third episode of the new season. [TVLine]

Jamie Bamber will guest star on 'CSI: Miami.' The 'Battlestar Galactica' veteran will play part of a storm-chasing duo. [TV Guide]

Sebastian Roche has booked a recurring role on 'The Vampire Diaries.' He'll play a mysterious vampire hunter. [EW]

'My So Called Life' actress A.J. Langer is joining 'Private Practice.' Langer will play the recurring role of Erica, a person from a character's past. [TVLine]
