melani deserved it ..she brought the best every time she danced...best ever on SYTYCD..and I've watched every season....

Melanie is by far the best dancer of the group, and deserved to win... and to whoever said they had never seen a dancer with her body type before,,, well I guess they've never seen SHIRLEY MACLAINE!!! That being said, IT WAS COMPLETELY UNFAIR AND UNSPORTSMANLIKE THAT NIGEL RUINED MARKO AND TADD'S CHANCES OF WINNING WITH HIS COMMENT THE NIGHT BEFORE... he threw his weight behind the women, which was reflected by their huge voting margins. There is NO WAY they would have received 79 % of the votes, if Nigel hadn't opened his overly veneered chopper mouth. Shame on you Nigel... you are the EP of the show, and you messed with the results. One of the reasons I watch the finales of SYTYCD is to see how AMERICA votes, NOT NIGEL!!!

I could see by watching this show that Melanie would be named the winner of 2011 because her hard work showed through every dance that she performed who has a very bright future ahead of her,so does Sasha...............I'm urging everyone to have a voice saying "NO" in the remaking of "Dirty Dancing" out of RESPECT for Patrick Swanzy who's presence is missed on the screen as a talented actor/dancer,so is Jennifer Grey,and the rest of the cast who made this movie a CLASSIC............

i do and did not care for the winners little boy body..when they were standing next to each other, sasha stood out as the woman

Melanie is truly a fabulous dancer but it's strange that her physique is generally unlike most other female dancers. Her thighs are thick and her middle is undefined. Sasha has the type of body usually associated with a dancer......... lean, long legs, well defined and sleek middle. Really haven't seen a dance built like before.

I didn't like Nygel's comment that the winner will be a girl...how does he know how the public is going to vote? Unless our votes aren't counting. So I voted for Tad, but I think Sasha was a stronger dancer than Melanie, and she should have won instead. And why do they have guests on there to "judge" when they aren't dancers anyway.

I'm glad that I am not the only one that thinks that they push for one favorite. I stopped watching the show for a while because it made me so mad. I thought it was pretty sad that he made those comments about Tad and Marco and then the next day (after voting was over) took it back, a little to late huh? If they truely want America to vote for their favorites then they shouldn't try to swade people one way or the other. I thought the jobs of the judges were to guide them with their dancing, not persuade America to vote for who they think should win. I don't know if I will watch next season.

I was hoping sasha would win. It seemed like nigel picked the winner weeks ago. I think hd needs to watch what he says. I do think dance wins and anyone whi compares this with dancing with the stars must have taken dance from some strip mall instructor who thought she could dance. Wake up America and learn a little culture. Sorry Sasha you shold have won...

MELANIE WAS DEFINITELY THE BEST DANCER! While the dancers this year were the best yet...Melanie was just awesome to watch. I could not wait each week to watch the show because of her. Not only was she a wonderful dancer, but she was so adorable and humble as well. She will have an amazing career because she is a well rounded dancer/person. Anyone who thinks she did not derserve to win, definitely does not appreciate talent. The others were outstanding, but America got it right this time!!! Congratulations Melanie!!
