Listen to the Latest 'Real Housewives' Single

by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 12th 2011 6:30PM
Melissa GorgaThe question of our generation: Why are 'Real Housewives' constantly releasing songs about how famous they are, and how difficult their lives are because of it?

I refuse to believe that people really bother them about their fame on a daily basis. Then again, you have to have a healthy sense of self and a ton of confidence to go on one of those shows anyway, so it shouldn't be that surprising.

The latest housewife to delude herself into thinking she'll have a recording career is 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Melissa Gorga. Listen to 'On Display,' then judge me for having enough of a working knowledge of 'Housewives' singles to declare that she might actually have the best voice of them all.

She chose to be"on display". The professional version is far from the actual singer's voice. I guess machinery can make anone sound better.

When has a 'Housewife' released a single about how tough their life is?

Kim Zolciak's single was about being tardy for a party

The Countess talks on about "class" and C'est bon

Danielle Staub is about being in love and real close to her lover.

Michelle Salahi's is a bad knockoff of a Black Eyed Peas song about "bumpin it" and would hardly call it angsty.

Maybe Gorga's and Gretchen Rossi' song can be considered angst. So I give you those.

Otherwise, most of them are harmless (only to the ears) novelty songs

I another techno self absorbed song from a Ho-wife. If Bravo paid these women more they wouldn't have to become delussional and try annoying those of us who avoid to show to have to listen to this crap.

So if you don't watch the shows, then who or what is forcing you to listen to this stuff?

Yeah, she has the voice--and the looks; but I really don't want to hear a anyone singing a song about how famous they are in their own head. If she can find a better lyricist and a better composer, her voice just might bring her some deserved recognition...
