'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Husband Commits Suicide
Russell Armstrong, estranged husband to 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Taylor Armstrong, was found dead Mon., Aug. 15. According to TMZ, Russell hanged himself.Taylor filed for divorce from Russell, 47, in July after claiming he physically abused her.
"I felt like I was dying inside," Taylor told People about her marriage. "Now, there's some sense of peace."
"Did I push her? Yes, maybe things happened in the heat of the moment, but it was during a time in our lives that was not characteristic of who we were," Russell told People in July. "This show has literally pushed us to the limit."
Sources told TMZ a roommate found Russell in his bedroom on Mulholland Drive and he was pronounced dead on Monday evening. A suicide note has not been found yet.
"All of us at Bravo are deeply saddened by this tragic news," Bravo said in a statement. "Our sympathy and thoughts are with the Armstrong family at this difficult time."
Bravo's Andy Cohen echoed the network's statement via Twitter. "I am so very sad about today's news," he tweeted. "My prayers and thoughts are with Taylor Armstrong and her family."
'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' co-star Camille Grammer also expressed her sympathies via Twitter.
"My sympathy and condolences go out to Taylor and Kennedy," she tweeted. "My thoughts and prayers are with them."
