Seth Grabel Brings Out Kid Versions of the Judges on 'America's Got Talent' (VIDEO)
Magician Seth Grabel knows what America likes. Kids are adorable, and he incorporated them into his act in a fun way on 'America's Got Talent' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC). With a 'Back to the Future' theme, Grabel made a DeLorean appear on the stage, claiming it was from the past.To prove it, he opened it to reveal three adorable youngsters dressed up like Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel. But the best moment of the act came when Piers asked the Li'l Sharon Osbourne what her name was.
"Hello darling," Li'l Sharon replied, to tremendous applause and a standing ovation from Mrs. Osbourne herself.
Grabel was but one of twelve acts invited back by the judges to perform on a special "Wild Card" round of the talent competition. Four acts from this group will complete the quarterfinals and fill out the 20 acts needed for the semifinal rounds.
It was a night of redemption for The Kinetic King, who finally got to show his stunt (it was a disastrous failure on his first try). It was great seeing some of our favorites back on the stage, including fellow magician Landon Swank. Magicians haven't fared that well this season, and both were very entertaining with their acts.
Those Funny Little People have more than outstayed their welcome, though we do enjoy how much Piers hates them, while the infectious fun of Summerwind Skippers had us jumping up and down with them.
Other strong performances on the night included vocalist Shevonne and Yellow Design Stunt Team. We're not sure we saw enough from Avery and the Calico Hearts to convince us they're ready for the big show, while West Springfield Dance Team just seemed like more of the same, at a stage when they really needed to up their game.
The Fiddleheads, Charles Peachock and J. Chris Newberg rounded out the Wild Cards, but none of them really proved themselves strong enough for a headline show in Las Veags, or even a spot on the next round.
Who were your favorite acts? Which four do you want to see move on?
