It was a mini-reunion of 'The Nanny' when Mr. Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy) appeared on the season finale of Fran Drescher's new show 'Happily Divorced' (Wed., 10:30PM ET on TV Land). Now Shaughnessy's an accomplished author, but his attraction to Fran was just as intense.

Only, he appeared to have a similar interest in Peter. It was all very confusing throughout the entire episode, until a classic mix-up led to both Peter and Fran meeting Shaugnessy in his hotel room, where he created a romantic atmosphere and announced that he was both gay and straight.

And apparently into threesomes as well. He must have figured that since Peter and Fran had been intimate with one another during their marriage, they wouldn't mind doing so again, only this time with him as well.

'Happily Divorced' may suffer from classic sitcom syndrome (which means rife with cliches and cheap laughs), but it did create a rather new twist on the buddy comedy formula. Fran and Peter are a great comedy pairing, and their new post-marriage relationship is a lot of fun.

In a way, the new TV Land comedy line-up is reminding us of the guilty pleasure light fun of ABC's old TGIF lineup, only a bit raunchier. These shows aren't Shakespeare, but they are a lot of fun in a harmless sort of way. And who couldn't use a light and fluffy distraction from their lives from time to time?
